Haute Couture Geisha Fashion! Sep 13th 2015, 22:43
Happy Sunday Junior Fashionistas!
So I had to do Haute Couture presentation for my modeling class at TEOM and it had to be Oriental themed. My instructor said that I had a very comfortable style and she was challenging me to step it up a bit for this assignment, so I thought I’d share here with you all. If any of you kids have ever tried Haute Couture for a kid avie then you know what a challenge it is for us to find something like that and even if someone did make something that would have worked; well that would kind of ruin the whole meaning of Haute Couture. I have always enjoyed putting outfits together from many different designers and this one certainly fits that bill.
Anyway, without further ado, here you go my one of a kind, high-fashion, Oriental-themed compilation! LOL That’s a mouthful!
I had a lot of fun putting this outfit together and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Oh and from the Wikipedia – Haute Couture explained: Haute couture (/ˌoʊt kuːˈtjʊər/; French pronunciation: [ot kuˈtyʁ]; French for “high sewing” or “high dressmaking” or “high fashion”) refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is high end fashion that is constructed by hand from start to finish, made from high quality, expensive, often unusual fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable sewers, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Couture translates literally from French as “dressmaking”, but may also refer to fashion, sewing, or needlework[1] and is also used as a common abbreviation of haute couture and refers to the same thing in spirit.[2] Haute translates literally to “high”. A haute couture garment is often made for a client, tailored specifically for the wearer's measurements and body stance.[1] Considering the amount of time, money, and skill that is allotted to each completed piece, haute couture garments are also described as having no price tag – in other words, budget is not relevant.
