We painted pumpkins today. We chose our favorite designs, and picked out sparkly colors. We shared the brushes and stencils and ideas. Smelled baking cookies, drank hot cider and laughed with each other. We had family time today.
It is what Halloween is all about.

We bobbed for apples today. We danced and coughed and sputtered. Moms make ups ran down their faces. Our little bangs dripped with water. The apples had teeth marks and when we finally nabbed one we dried it off and made our own caramel apples. We dipped them in sprinkles and cookie crumbs and let them dry on wax paper. We had a contest, judging the best one. We all won!
This is what fall is all about.

We shared house chore duties today. We fed the animals. Pet the cats and snuck on new flea colars, washed the dogs and cleaned the fish tanks. We mowed the grass and cleaned out all the summer flower pots. We shared a picnic lunch and brushed bugs off each other, and laughed at Mama's crooked mow lines in the grass. We picked the last of the apples and made a big batch of apple sauce. It smells soo good. We had fun doing chores today.
That is what family is all about.
